Athletics Ireland are planning a number of sprints and hurdles sessions for the 2016-2017 season. The first will be in the Athlone indoor arena on Sunday December 11th. The session will take place from 11.30-2pm, with dinner after in the canteen. 


We will use this session as a chance to get the best athletes together, and get some good technical work done. Hopefully creating a good atmosphere and building more of these events in the future. 
The main focus of the session will be on dynamic warm up exercises, sprint/hurdle drills, plyometrics and acceleration. Drew Harrison, who has completed extensive research on plyometrics will take the plyometric session, with exercises ranging from low to medium intensity. 

We are inviting men and women, junior and senior from the events below, with qualifying standards attached. We also encourage your coach(es) to come along too. Please pass word to the athletes involved and confirm your attendance with one of the emails below.
